Last year it was thought that the leader of ISIS, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi, was dead and this winter he was said to be at a field hospital in Iraq. Now the terror group has published a recording by him. Or they claim that it’s him anyway.
In the 46 minutes long recording you can hear al-Baghdadi say that to the members of ISIS that the should hang on. He urges his followers to attack the west and keep fighting in Syria and Iraq. Everywhere really, but especially the apostates and the west. he pressed on the reward they would get when they becomes martyrs. He said:
Beware of retreat, or the feeling of defeat, beware of negotiations or surrender. Do not lay down your arms.
It is the first statement he’s given for almost a year. It’s not sure that it’s really al-Baghdadi. It’s undated, but he refer to current events like the detention of pastor Andrew Brunson in Turkey. The US is working on verifying the recording.
